Help with both apps

A few questions.
Clear answers.

Find the right tool for your school or community group, understand what’s included, and know what to expect before you buy.

Choosing your app

Which app do I need?

Choose PDF Editor 4.0 to annotate, sign, organize, or make existing PDFs searchable. Choose PDF Mailroom to turn spreadsheet rows into personalized certificates using your own design.

Do I need both apps?

Each app handles a different job. You can use either on its own: PDF Editor for document work, or PDF Mailroom for generating personalized PDFs.

Can I try something before buying?

Yes. Try the free browser PDF tools for a quick document job, or explore the four-row Mailroom example and download its sample kit.

Which operating systems are supported?

Both desktop apps are presented for Windows and Linux. PDF Editor 4.0 is offered as a Windows zip or a Debian/Ubuntu amd64 .deb package. Mailroom has separate Windows and Linux purchase buttons. Review the included package at checkout; contact Erich for distribution-specific questions.

Do I need a Que’s Corner account?

No Que’s Corner account is required to use the desktop apps. Purchases are handled separately through checkout.

PDF Editor 4.0

What can I do with PDF Editor?

Create a blank PDF, annotate documents, organize pages, add signatures, and make scanned pages searchable with OCR. Batch tools can queue PDFs for rotation, OCR, merging, or splitting. See the actual app screens.

What is included in the free browser tools?

Join whole files, merge selected pages, split, rotate, and draw arrows. OCR, Batch, New PDF, full annotation, and signing are features of the desktop app.

What does OCR do?

OCR adds searchable text to scanned pages. PDF Editor processes the document on your computer. Review the result, especially when the original scan is unclear.

How does signing work?

Draw or type a signature, or import a signature image, then place it in your PDF. The work stays local; the app does not send documents through a cloud signing service.

Can I rewrite existing paragraphs or fill forms?

This offer focuses on annotation, page organization, OCR, and signing. Rewriting existing PDF paragraphs and form filling are not part of the advertised toolkit.

How do I install PDF Editor?

On Windows, extract the downloaded zip and run PDF Editor.exe. On Debian/Ubuntu amd64, use the .deb package. Choose the package that matches your computer.

PDF Mailroom

How does PDF Mailroom work?

Bring your certificate design, choose Excel or CSV data, map the changing details onto the design, and preview the result. Generate a separate, named PDF for each row.

Can I use a certificate we already designed?

Yes. Use your certificate artwork, including a design exported from Canva, and place spreadsheet fields over it. Names, dates, and other changing details come from your roster.

What can our school or group make?

Completion certificates for classes, achievement certificates for events, and appreciation certificates for volunteers and supporters. The website sample shows these three uses.

Can I upload my own roster to the website sample?

The website example displays four supplied rows and pre-rendered previews. It does not process your own roster. Use the desktop app to work with your own spreadsheet and design.

Is the desktop app limited to four rows?

No. Four rows are used for the website example. The desktop app supports generation beyond that sample, with overlay placement and Excel sheet selection.

What is in the downloadable sample kit?

The example Excel and CSV spreadsheets, blank artwork, and four named reference PDFs. The reference PDFs reproduce the preview images; they are not a demonstration of processing your own data. Download the kit.

Does Mailroom email the certificates?

The workflow produces PDF files on your computer. You choose how to print or distribute them. It does not include an email delivery service.

Privacy, purchasing & support

Are my documents or spreadsheets uploaded?

The desktop workflows keep your files on your computer. The free browser PDF tool processes documents in your browser and has no file-upload endpoint. The Mailroom website preview only displays supplied example data. Read the website privacy information.

Is there a subscription?

The desktop products are presented as one-time purchases, without a recurring subscription. PDF Editor 4.0 is $35 CAD, PDF Mailroom 1.0 is $25 CAD, and both apps are $50 CAD. Each is a one-time purchase. Buy Mailroom for Windows or Linux through Payhip. The $50 CAD bundle includes both apps for Windows and Linux.

Can our whole school or organization use one purchase?

Contact Erich with the number of users and computers before buying for a group. Confirm the applicable licensing arrangements rather than assuming one purchase covers every installation.

Where do I buy or ask about a package?

Use the PDF Editor purchase section for its Payhip checkout. For Mailroom ($25 CAD), choose Windows or Linux using the Payhip purchase buttons. For both apps ($50 CAD), use the bundle purchase button.

Are Windows and Linux separate purchases?

PDF Editor has separate Windows and Linux listings, each priced at $35 CAD. Choose the version for your computer using the platform purchase buttons. Mailroom also has separate Windows and Linux listings, each priced at $25 CAD. Choose your operating system before checkout. The $50 CAD bundle includes both apps and both operating systems in one purchase.

Where are the Windows and Linux download buttons?

On the PDF Editor page, choose Buy for Windows or Buy for Linux. Payhip supplies the download for the version you purchase. For Mailroom, choose Windows or Linux using its Payhip purchase buttons. For the bundle, use the Buy both apps button; its Payhip download page includes Windows and Linux packages for both apps. Website sample downloads are free and separate from the paid apps.

How can I verify my downloaded file?

Compare its SHA-256 with the matching filename in the PDF Editor checksum list or PDF Mailroom checksum list. Instructions and downloadable checksum lists are provided on both pages.

How do I get help?

Email Erichg@quescorner.ca with the app name, version, operating system, and what you were trying to do. Avoid sending private student or volunteer information.
